Galileo Galilei

Galileo Galilei (1564-1642) was a famous medieval scientist best known for being an astronomer, mathematician, philosopher and physicist. He made the first telescope used majorly around Europe. He also discovered the Galilean moons and supported Copernicus's theory. He fought against the Catholic church. Galilei was known as the father of modern astronomy and science.
